What do you mean :?:
The latest version is the 10.0.11, if I'm not wrong.

and if so, what's the process for having both installed separately, and keeping their files from getting mixed up?
When you install the second version (let's say : you installed the 64 firs and then, the 32 bit), just rename the 64 bit version like "TVP Animation 10 Pro 64" before installing the 32 bit version in your application folder.
By the way, even if you name the both versions differently, they will use the same interface and the same configuration.

hi Elodie-

i see 10.0.9 on my 'about tvp' popup so.. is version 10.0.11 automatically available if i enter my codes on the tvp update/upgrade page? if so, perhaps i will update and test it first.

what specifically gets renamed? i think someone above discusses breaking something when they tried to rename the .app itself.

Just rename the .app.
As long as you don't mess with what's INSIDE the .app, there is no problem.

hi Ematecki-

ok, i'll change the app name "TVP Animation 10 Pro.app" to ""TVP Animation 10 Pro_64.app", and not go inside the "contents". (i thought i read above that someone changed the app name and then had trouble, but i'll give it a try.)

what do you think about my other question as to my current '64' version:
i see 10.0.9 on my 'about tvp' popup so.. is version 10.0.11 automatically available if i enter my codes on the tvp update/upgrade page? if so, perhaps i will update and test it first.
thank you!

Don't worry. You know, I have around 10 different versions of TVPaint on my iMac with different names ;)

thanks Elodie- i'll give it all a try tomorrow.

i just asked this of Ematecki, but i'll ask you since you're here-
in my current '64' version i see 10.0.9 in the 'about tvp' popup. are the periodic tvp updates like 10.0.11 automatically available if i enter my codes on the tvp update/upgrade page? if so, perhaps i will update and test it first.

thanks again,
Charlie C

Well, maybe the developers forgot to change the version number in the last version

Use the "Help > Check for Updates" menu item in TVPaint, it already knows your codes.
But it also works on the webpage, but you'll have to enter the codes yourself.
