Thanks for your compliment (if you mean it).
I don't know who you are, but I saw that you linked to the mike sporn site. Why?

ur work is really great. i like it. every frame shot is fully detail colored. it's pretty amazing.

i'm a noob here, not good at drawing or animating but i'm interested in it and trying to learn,

that link, i thought i would post it and share here becuase no one has post it up yet. i'm not related to him or anything , it's just i thought it's related to animation.

It seems that the usual suspects on this forum knew this link already, but I didn't, so thanks again, I'll check it.

Wow these stills are amazing! How are you keeping everything consistent for this to work as an animation?

Thanks!
I have made clay heads that I use as reference for the shadow animation. I put one or two lamps on a clayhead that I attached to an old photostatief (I don't know the english word) and move the clayhead position by position just as I animated it, so that I can see how the light falls.
Then I paint the shadows in two seperate layers in TVPpaint (layers in multiply mode). It will all move and wiggle a bit, but that gives it also a lively effect. While I am painting the shadows, I can flip back and forth to check if the tone is right ( thanks to TVPaint).
It's kind of complicated, but once I get in a flow, it works fine.
The backgroundpaintings are done with oilpaint. On the photo you can see 1 of the 160 paintings that I have to make for my film Junkyard.
There's a little clip on the user's gallery.
