These are not TVPaint software tutorials as such (i.e. 'how to use the software' ) , but animator Joanna Davidovich has been livestreaming sessions of her animating using TVPaint . Many people find it easier to learn the interface by simply WATCHING someone animate in TVPaint , so these are useful .
This is unedited, raw footage of the livestream sessions. The first one starts at around the 5:29 mark of the video , so jump ahead to that point -
The second livestream starts at the 3:31 mark of the video (there seems to be a sound problem on this video for about the first few minutes , I can't hear her speaking at certain points ...
but hopefully that will be fixed soon ...
Here is an earlier demo on clean-up and inbetweening she did , using TVPaint . Again, people who learn by watching other people go through the process step by step may find this useful.
Hi, I'm David, or you could call me newgamingspies.
I was wondering if you could make a suggestion video on best tvpaint plugins for beginners. I'll be trying out the demo version tomorrow, and I seem to be overwhelmed by all the plugins available here that I don't even know where to start. Thanks.
Also if anyone knows of an intro to scripting for tvPaint, that would be lovely. Please share DD

As far as what you ask regarding "the best plug-ins" ... I'm assuming you're using plug-ins to mean "custom panels" (the various custom panels available in the Content Sharing forum ).
All I can advise is to download several and try them , see if they are useful to you . It depends on the individual user, what tasks they need to accomplish .
Two that I use frequently are :
Mads Juul's Tracker Shortcuts Panel . (which I primarily use for custom naming/numbering of instances)
Schwarzgrau's Keep the Marks which allows for retaining Image Marks when merging two layers.
I also have dozens of the various custom pencils and brush tools downloaded from the Contents Sharing forum. Try them to see which ones you prefer. (you can create further custom panels by creating a new blank custom panel and then copying & pasting your preferred tools from other custom panels into your own custom tool panel. To copy/paste a tool, right click on it and choose Copy , then go to the new custom panel and right-click again and choose Paste. )
Hi, Elodie. I wanted to know if we still had to purchase the course from Elephorm.
Are the videos in the playlist only "Learn TVPaint 11: The Basics" or does the playlist also include, "Master TVPaint 11 - Advanced techniques"?
If not, are the courses on Elephorm in English, or only in French?

I believe all of the tutorials that were originally available from Elephorm are now available (in English) on the TVPaint YouTube channel :
Hello,
The tutorials available on Youtube are the exact same as the Elephorm ones.
Due to our past agreement with Elephorm, we can't have them taken down from their website yet.

Thank you so much for your reply. I didn't notice the latter playlist before. I really do hope that "Master TVPaint 11: Advanced Techniques" have also been uploaded into the playlist.
