The Galaxy is not forgotten. I actually draw everyday. I just don't always post.

Rethinking Paragon... I often wondered why I didn't want to draw it. Because it wasn't mine.

I feel I am about ready. It is time to think about getting things into motion again.

Thanks Elodie. And a special thanks to the nature brushes and other natural media brushes in TVPaint!

Wonderful work, Terrence!
I assume this is a RAM issue, but just how many TVP frames can your Galaxy Note play back? Could you animate a scene that lasts 100 frames? More? 500 frames?
I just checked the Galaxy specs. Does your Galaxy Note have 16 gig of RAM?
Instead of using it for sketching and paint like you do, I am interested in using one for rough animation.
Thanks for all of your posts! You've been an inspiration to me for many years.

I am not quite sure what you mean by playback. Do you mean the preview. I set the preview to a proxy at 20% quality and I have no issues with playing back anything I do. As far as the length of projects, this short animation was done entirely in one project file on the tablet:
Short animation in one project
As was this one:
Another short animation
I had a screen capture project that was over an hour long once. That did crash though.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 has 2GB of RAM. I have two SD Cards, one internal at 16GB and one external at 64GB.

Terrence:
Thanks for the reply! By "playback," what I mean is, how many many frames can you work on at once?
If I were to animate using the Galaxy Note with TVP 10, would I be able to animate a 100 frame scene with a different drawing every other frame? How about 200 frames?
I would think that 2 gig of ram is sufficient, but thought I'd ask.
I animate on 2's, so I have a different drawing on every other frame. Which eats up memory. Your style is much more efficient.
Any help or perspective you can give is always appreciated.

Well, I have worked with hundreds of frames of HD video, shot on the tablet and brought into TVPaint with no problem. I haven't tested a limit yet. I think as long as you have enough space on your SD card for the temp file, you should never run into any issues.

I really should have kept up with this thread. I still draw a lot on the same tablet.
