If you have issues with TVPaint, you should elaborate rather than just say that.

It' just that if you have problems, it would be good to share so that either others can help, or the developers can learn what has put you off.

May I ask a question to the developers of TVPaint?
The question is about how TvPaint, "user interface", has been constructed!

I'm not the developer, but I don't understand the question. Can you explain further what you are after?

Here's an idea: Alfatoons, if you have questions, please start your own thread about them. That would make more sense. Cheers.

Wowah! I think I understand the question. He wants to know if there is any rhyme or reason to the way the color scheme is divided up into certain blocks so that he can create his own color scheme. If that is the question, the answer is basically, "No". What does help though, is to first change the current color scheme into very bright and contrasting colors and then jump around the GUI. Once you get the picture, change the stupid colors into subtle ones to your own taste. The bright, contrasty colors will help you remember which parts of the GUI are connected so that you can reconstruct the Interface to your liking and keep it functional.

Paul, I would be interested to see how you have revised your GUI colours to suit you.

Re: A new user with a few ideas to improve TVPaint...
Sorry David for not being able to oblige since I am working with a Beta version. But having said that, it's pretty close to what is called Mirage in the Standard versions, except I made a few elements more salient, such as underlining a sequence on the timeline and the highlight colors that indicate that a button is active. I also flattened the over all appearance by eliminating the shine and fake 3D look of panels (Mirror, Border and zero Highlight). The trickiest areas to find compromise colors for are the Key Command tab and FX Stack Panels. Those are two good places to start out with. I believe there is a place somewhere around here where people have posted their color schemes; hopefully someone will post that place soon.
