It seems they'll will fix it in 11.4, but I guess this will take a few month...
This problem seems so small, but if you have to find the section of the image, your currently working on, 78 times a day you get really frustrated. I try to avoid rotating the image the best as I can.

Oh, have the developers mentioned somewhere that they will fix this issue for the next update...?
I am trying your solution as well but it doesn't work for me. Very often I just have to rotate especially when working in non-regular aspects, which often happens when doing storyboards, for example. And especially with those aspects, the offset is very jarring when resetting the rotation.

I gather there's no way to either detect the current view's position relative to the whole project, nor to set a new position, via George...
