Here is an additional off peg suggestion:
When going into off peg mode it sometimes happens that the rotation control of the transform box ends up off screen. (See attached image). If I want to fine tune the angle it would be nice to have that remain on screen. Maybe it could pop to the other side or shrink to stay always on screen?

I agree! This makes it often very hard to use the off-peg feature. It would be much easier if the box was cropped around the drawing like it is with the selection tool. Something that should not be hard to accomplish, it looks like to me.

I believe this has been mentioned before in a feature request thread, if I'm not mistaken, but it's good to have this issue kicked up again.

yeap, I think it was a Peter's request if memory serves,
... or alternatively a special "Rotate-OoP" key(s) combination dedicated to the out-of-peg rotation,
to rotate wherever you LMB-click&Drag, just like [Ctrl+Alt] do for the view (disk) rotation,
so, no need anymore to have to reach the "out-of-view" handle to rotate.

I will try to express it correctly, though not easy.

The problem we have is as follow : if we change the image when in "out-of-pegs" mode, the "current frame" information will not match the timeline red vertical lines any more.

that's the reason why flipping is possible, because we come back to the original position in time.
changing the current frame when in "out-of-pegs" mode seems more complicated to me in terms of interface and development.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but it require to be well thought/imagined before doing anything.

and just to add to the challenge, may i add that i find it ackward to get out of the transform light table mode to get back to the drawing (or whatever) mode. Now i have to press esc or click on the tool i want to use. It would be easier to have a sort of validation build in the light table panel. or maybe i'm doing this wrong , and there is already an easy way to get out of transform mode ?

yes, there is maybe a way to have some kind of validation.

But the biggest problem remain the (Out of Pegs / Timeline) focus problem I described.
I have some ideas, so I might propose some of them later. will see.

I was sure that this issue was talked about before, and somehow thought it would be addressed in TVP 10, but it stayed the same.
The Off-Pegs control handles are very uncomfortable to use, and slow down the workflow, because they exist only on the edges of the drawing, and the rotation center is fixed only in the middle. It would be really great, if the rotation center could be shifted to a custom spot, and the handles would appear close to the mouse cursor, and not on the edges of the frame. Imagine that I need to compare two small lines, and find the correct position for an inbetween. So to put them in a correct angle and position, I need to zoom-in in to see what I'm doing, then zoom-out to adjust, then zoom in agian, then zoom out to adjust again etc etc. Also because the rotation center cannot be adjusted, I cannot rotate the drawing around a certain point in the drawing, which makes it a big effort to find the right angle. It is so much more time consuming than it is even on paper! With adjustable center and close handles our inbetweening and cleanup process would be much faster and easier!

I have a similar problem when rotating a brush, because the handle is on the edge of the brush the brush plops to a different location
