Re: TVP 10 - remove "hold" on new layers
I've had these two CP shortcuts for years now (or so it seems). Leaving out the Move Layer Down command places the new layer above the current one, so at a quick glance I can make a quick, one click choice; above or below.

Re: TVP 10 - remove "hold" on new layers
Asking again:
Would it be possible to have an option in Preferences to set New Layer Post Behaviour to allow the user set it to always be "None" or always "Hold" .
OR if there is simply no easy way to allow for this as an option in Preferences then I am requesting that the default behaviour be set as "None" rather than "Hold" . I see Fabrice's comment above: "Animators will ask to have the post behavior as "none", while Storyboard artists will ask for the post behavior "hold". Not easy to choose something." but it seems to me that the only people I see here asking about this are the Animators who are asking that the default Post Behaviour be set to "None" . I would bow to the wishes of the majority of TVPaint users: If most people are primarily using TVPaint for Storyboarding and would strongly object to changing the default behaviour from "Hold" to "None" please speak up , but otherwise I am again requesting that the default Post Behaviour be changed to "None". (although the best solution would be for this to be an optional setting in Preferences so the individual user may select the default behaviour for New Layer based on their own needs )

+1 for None as default post-behavior option,
or maybe a "smart" default option, regarding the last user setting.

Re: TVP 10 - remove "hold" on new layers
Maybe an option to choose when you create a new project ? You will have to choose if you want to start an animation or a storyboard.
If you choose animation, the post behavior = none and you will be on the timeline view.
If you choose storyboard, the post behavior = hold and you will be on the storyboard view.
If you choose animation, the post behavior = none and you will be on the timeline view.
If you choose storyboard, the post behavior = hold and you will be on the storyboard view.
Re: TVP 10 - remove "hold" on new layers
Why so complex. Why simply not remember the last used Post Behaviour and use that next time. Even though you have Restarted TVPaint or switched Project or use a keycommand or the new layer popup?Elodie wrote:Maybe an option to choose when you create a new project ? That would be logical to me
