Really love that possibility, which could be applied to other colors tab (sliders and pickers). There is something to do here, indeed =)Peter Wassink wrote:I agree very much!
a PP like feature would be a powerfull addition to tvp.
it might seem boring for the development team
but having the ability to put up multiple reference images on the screen is very important for animators and storyboard artists.
and currently its not really possible, using another project for this is not the answer because of the behaviour of the project windows, they don't stay on top!
and one (as we now can in the color mixer) is a bit limiting.
so...please consider adding it !
simply the possibility to have multiple colormixers open would be an answer.
A Picture Palette -like Modelsheet feature for TVPaint 10
P-Palette, Color picker and Color mixer in TVPaint 10 ?
Re: P-Palette, Color picker and Color mixer in TVPaint 10 ?
Hey, I see that this thread has been placed in the "Feature Request" section. I was about to write a post in this section about now, so thanks.
To make it an official request;
Dear TVPaint developers team,
In a software package that is aimed at handdrawn animation, a modelsheet is a most important feature. It is not just a nice addition; it is a necessity! When animating, I have always needed modelsheets and I have never met an animator (in the handdrawn field) who didn't. Now that it seems that Youngmonkey has lost interest in developing his Picture Palette further for TVP 64x, I think it is time for the TVPaint team to implement a modelsheet feature like the PP in TVP. It will make our animating life so much easier!

For me, I would rather not. So we can keep the modesheet in one or more separate windows (perhaps, hopefully, to be developed further as the user base comes up with new ideas to make it better and easier to use) and always on top of the rest of the interface.simply the possibility to have multiple colormixers open would be an answer

You're welcome =)Sewie wrote: I was about to write a post in this section about now, so thanks.
And this request is noted in our minds ! We won't be able to implement it before December 6th (time, bugs to fix, new feature = beta-test before in order to see if it's okay or not etc...), but be sure we will do something ASAP.Sewie wrote:In a software package that is aimed at handdrawn animation, a modelsheet is a most important feature. I also become aware of this important need and we will do our best to give you that. But be patient ! As Fabrice told, don't forget TVPaint 8 didn't have instances (they came with TVPaint 8.5) and TVPaint 9 didn't have clips (they came in TVPaint 9.5).

It's good to know that you guys are on the case! Thanks Elodie.

Re: A Picture Palette -like Modelsheet feature for TVPaint 1
Some kind of modelsheet feature would be very welcome. right now I have have my modelsheets open in an extern image viewver. and I alse have them as costum brushes to paste on my drawing to trace the proportions. Maybe if there was some kind of modelsheet panel. it could a nice feature if you could use your cutbrush tool on the image to cut out for use in the project view.

But it is also important to have the ability to flip these images and stretch them to any size. As you say, to have multiple images (I have as many as twenty Picture Pallets open at the same time with some tucked away in the side bins) so it is important to make them stay in two given positions and sizes.

That sounds like it's going to take some time. Years perhaps (though hopefully not)...Fabrice wrote:rules, guides, colors, etc ... changes ===>>> probably 10.5
I've been looking around and it seems that there are some picture viewers that have an 'always on top' option, so they can be used for your reference picture/modelsheets on top of the TVP interface.
Like I said, it's sloppy, but perhaps it'll pass for the time...
