Google's intention was to have that stupidity on just for a day, but the uproar was so fierce they had to cut out the sound before the day was over. The corporate "we can do anything we want to" mentality is becoming the bane of humanity. That and teenage angst, of course.
I thought it was a virus and had to call in my IT, which is going to cost me about $100.

I wondered what that was. Lucky for me I use headphones and I only have them on if I am working or watching a movie.

I came across info somewhere, maybe Animation Magazine, that it was the 30th anniversary of Pac-Man, so when I saw that was on the Google page, I knew why, just chuckled and moved on. I don't use Google that much.

I thought I didn't use Google that much either but it turns out that each time I log on to TVP or any of the other forums, or even my web page, Google is running in the background (FireFox has it this way). This is why I thought I was under attack of a virus, as did my IT when I described to him over the phone what was going on. I wasn't seeing any games or Google but just the page of a TVP forum. His bill came to $160. I wish I could pass it on to Google. It is outrageous what they did to have themselves a little fun.

Well ... try it? Right now Google does a lot to look nicer, so I'd give it a shot.

I'll think about it but I hate going through futile exercises.
