First, I want to say I think TV Paint is an absolutely phenomenal program and in my opinion the best out there for those who want to do as close to traditional animation as possible on the computer. So thanks to the amazing team that created and continues to evolve and improve TVPaint!
I am also concerned about the issue in this thread. I'm using TV Paint 9.5.21 (thank you for continuing to update this version), however in my experience, the blurring of rotated objects is still an issue. Is there still a possibility this issue will be fixed?
Thanks again for all your hard work TV Paint crew!

Hi Kevin,

Thank you for your kind words about our software :)

Even if we won't never be able to avoid at 100% the blur on rotated objects, we improved that feature in TVPaint Animation 10, with the A-Aliasing "smart" (which better than "better" :p)

Don't hesitate to test it by downloading the demo version.

Kind regards,
Elodie

Thank you Elodie for such a quick response! Not long after I posted I also discovered in TVPaint 9.5 the "Best" option for AAliasing when using the Transform tool (I'm still pretty new to the program). I found that it works very well. Thanks again to you and the TVPaint crew for providing the free trial version of TVPaint 10 on your website. I also briefly tested the Transform tool in there both with "Smart" and "Best" AAliasing. For some reason I can't figure out I seem to get the best results with the Transform tool in 9.5, less blurring that is. The only thing I can think of is that I downloaded the 64 bit version of TVPaint 10 for my Mac with a processor that is supposed to support it, but the technical specifications for my computer screens say they support 32 bit pixel depth. I'm not sure if those things are even related, but just thought I'd mention it. Incidentally I can't remember if I'm running the 32 or 64 bit version of 9.5 and I'm not sure how to check it, but maybe that would help me get an idea of what works best on my computer. Thanks again for your response and your help Elodie! TVPaint 10 looks great and I hope to upgrade before too long!

yep, AA "Best" is better than Medium or None,
but even better than "Best" is to Draw the whole thing instead of using (and abusing) the Transform tool ...

afaik, v9.x exists only in 32bit, 64bit versions came with the 1srt version of v10.

TVP 9.5 only exists in 32 bits.

No, they aren't related.
64 bits for an application has to do with the processor being able to crunch numbers with 64 bits in a single step.
If your Mac can't handle 64 bits application, you will not be able to launch them, with an error message telling you why.
Because you can launch TVP 10 64 bits, you will have no problem with it (except for the wacom/dock interaction bug, and the absence of quicktime if you need it....)
