Heh, I've been looking through the Spirited Away artbook and seen some real jaw-dropping watercolours. I have the playback for that last one if you want it. Kind of huge, though...

I think that it is very impressive work Mark...

additionally, use the semi-colon keyboard shortcut (;) which is mapped to Color:Pick to change current color to your mouse click selection
this will work across ALL layers so be careful to make sure you have intended layer active when you apply changes

I have CTRL-Z mapped as hotkey on my Shuttle PRO so I can undo changes...

I will do that, i have not had time as yet, but i will get back to you.

I am guessing from your name, you are were a navy man. I was also, in the early 70's, i would have been working for you though.

The beauty of TVP9 is that this KeyCommand/pointer shows you the thumbs involved so you can pick the one you need without having all your layers labeled with unique names. I love this new little touch!

Paul, how do you get it to do that? Once you have the little pointer with the question mark, where do you click? It just disappears when I point it at anything on the timeline.

You point it to a place on the picture -- usually when you are not sure which layer that object sits on.

you have to point it in the preview window, not on the timeline .
it's particularily useful when several layers are overlaid, if you want to pick the one underneath,
select it in the thumbnails list (they appear in the order).

OK, I got that part to work. I point to the part of the image that is on another layer and the program jumps to that layer. Very nice. But I can't get the popup Paul spoke of where you can see the thumbs. What do you have to do to get that?

oops -- maybe it's just in the beta version. Well, it's coming then, and it's very nice.

Sierra, the popup thumbnails only display when you have overlapping drawings (under the same pixel) on two or more layers - otherwise it simply jumps to the layer with the drawing you click on.
