"Dot" brush mode

Post by neonnoodle »

Does anyone use this? If I want a single stamp I just tap once with a stylus or click the mouse. But as a standalone mode for the brush tool it's an annoyance to me.

I agree. In the best case it is the reason for confusion, cause anybody chosen it accidentally and don't know what to do.

It's actually useful for people who make pixel-art drawings and animations. But I agree, the situation you describe is too frequent.

Unfortunately this sounds pretty plausible to me.

Maybe move the dot brush to the Tools Presets panel ?

Actually, we will change the order of the tools in the little pop-up : users usually select the dot because they hold their click for a split second when they select the stroke (and when they do so, they select the dot that is at the top of the list).
If the first tool in the pop-up list is the stroke instead of the dot, I'm sure the problem won't occur anymore.

Just yesterday, I chose dot by mistake, and I thought my Wacom drivers were broken!
I restarted my computer, reinstalled everything, until I realized the mistake.
:-/

Yes moving it would be better!
