To double the duration of your animation you could use +1 in the handy panel so when your animation is on ones this will set it on doubles.
however if there are holds in it those will only be lengthened by 1 frame.
To my mind it would be very useful to have a X2 button in the handypanel which will double all instance lengths no matter its current value.
so after clicking it those instances with 1 exposure get 2
those with 2 exposures get 4
those with 3 get 6 etc...
