Blur with Lock Transparency

Post by Mads Juul »

Photoshop have a feature I often used and I wonder if I can achieve the same with TVPaint

In photoshop if I "Lock the Layers Transparency" And then apply Gaussian blur the pixels will only blur among each other and NOT out in the transparent area. Very use full if you wont to have a Animated Character with an animated gradient. in fx. his hat. Animated and floodfill the different colors in the "hat" and afterwards blut it.
Is this possible?

Hi Mads,
Yes you can achieve that in TVP Animation (Pro). Before applying your effect you only need to active the "Preserve transparency" option on the top bar of the software. With this option only the non-transparent pixel can be modified.
