Newbiw Questions

Post by Mads Juul »

I downloaded the Trial version ysterday and I'm very Impressed
fantastic drawing abilities.

But I Want you to correct me if I have misunderstood the following:

* You can not draw on a x-sheet layer
* the x-sheet layer contains references to frames in animation or Image layers

* You can NOT time animation layers. I mean hold a frame you can only make copies of frames.

* you can only have one sound layer
* you can not split the sound or edit the sound in any ways

id this correct?

Hi Mads,
You're right about these points.
Because the XSheet layer contains references, you can't draw in it.
You can't hold a frame but it has been completely reviewed and improved for the upcoming free v1.5 update (meaning it will be possible soon)
Lastly, no sound edition is possible.

nr all editing/fx apps in regards to audio have just a scratch track capability for reference whe using the application, such as combustion for example which can load a single audio track for timing purposes, same with lightwave3d and 3dstudio max for audio editing your best served with a dedicated audio editor such as garageband, sound forge or logic express.

Thanx for the quick answer:-)

I wasn´t actually thinking of profesional sound editing. But If I wanted to use
TV paint for storyboarding it would be nice if you could
- have more than one sound level
- descide on which frame the sound should start and end and where in the sound, we would begin. something like the old "Take2" linetester

by the way is It possible to customize the keyboard shortcuts?

is it possible with the george scripting language to:
- delete/ create files on the computer
- execute external program. so I can send my colored animation to f.x After Effects with a script?

I will return to invistigate this facinating software :_)

You will be able to add arguments to the execution of TVP Animation (Pro) in the coming soon version. These arguments are :
- images (just write the path and file name),
- scripts (syntax: script=pathandfilename.grg),
- commandes george (syntax: cmd=georgecommand).

Example :
TVP Animation.exe "MyImage" "script=MyScriptpathand name.grg" "cmd=MyGeorgeCommand"

This will be explain in the user manual.
