Color Slider FX...

Hello,
can someone please explain the Color Slider Effect.
Why should I want to have so many options 7x7 sliders?
Is it for artistic purposes or does, lets say, a TV station require certain colours or colour ranges ?
(It is nice to have it but I think I never used it)

I agree with this notion. I thinc that the effects Color > Sliders has way too many options / subtleties. It is indeed nice to have this tool, but I usually get more confused than not, when all I want is just to simply correct brightness/contrast/colour.

I think this calls for a Feature Request of a simple colour corrector.

For brightness/contrast/colour just use the simple "Color adjust" filter.

The "Slider" fx is for subtle changes in color.

I sometimes use this effect to :
* change the contrast or gain of the alpha chanel only.
* change the color of darker and lighter pixels separately.

The classical Color adjust FX can't do that.
