Export grey background

When I export a finished project to certain formats, I get a gray colored background, instead of white. Any way to fix this, or would placing a white image layer in the very back of a project do the trick? Why does this happen?

hi Marc, and welcome,

have you set the BG color gadget to white?
(left-down corner of the Timeline panel)
if not, click on it, then pick anywhere in a white area.

Hey Zig, that BG color is white. The problem seems to happen when I export to Quicktime format, other than an "Animation" compression. For example, if I try to export to MPEG-4, I get all colors correct except background, which is sort of grayish-tan. Thanks for your help!

oh I see, it's a codec (compression) issue, ...
some are more or less respectfull forward the color/luminosity,
try PNG (optimal), or TGA, and yes, "Animation" as "Graphic" work fine in that respect.

ps: Petazonia is a wild archipelago where used to live Petazonians...

Yes! PNG and TGA work. Is there any way I can fix this codec issue? Are PNG and TGA standard formats? I need to output this for a college final project, so I need to be sure these can be viewed on our Macs at school (I use a PC at home).

yeap, TGA is a very old and wellknown cross-platform format, and I think PNG should be mac-friendly too,
so far your mac(s) are not too old, and have quicktime installed, both should work .
