When moving a layer up or down you have the option to move a layer above or below another layer. The other option is to move the layer over another layer so you can choose how the layer will be merged.
I really like all those options. The only problem is that sometimes when I want to move a layer up or down, I accidentally merge a layer. This is a bit frustrating when I want to move a layer 100 layers upwards or downwards. Then I have to cancel the merge option, and move the layers again.
I don't know if other tvpaint users also have this problem.
A solution to never have this problem again could be that the "merge option" only would appear when holding the ctrl button (or another button) while moving layers up or down.

Yes, this is very recognizable to me. Holding 'ctrl' would be good solution to this, I think.
