In the FXstack/Render Tab we have an offset option.
Currently it is not possible to animate this offset, by keyframing its value.
it would greatly increase the possibilities of the keyframer if this was added.
i need to put down frames from a source project along a keyframed path, and in my destination project i want to be able to control which frame of the source is going to be put down when.
I imagine setting anim behaviour to none and then by setting keys along the timeline with different offset numbers
tvpaint would give me the images from the source belonging to that offset.
it might even be better (more straightforward) if instead of offset we could use the framenumbers of the source here.
meanwhile any ideas for a workaround?
i could, in the source project, create a layer where i "pre-do" this timing (= set which frame of the source is going to be put down when)
but this makes the process much less flexible
because i'd then miss the context of the destination project.

Re: Animate offset parameter in the keyframer
+1, there's one of my old requests :
btw, it's available for a while in the K-FramED plugin (source retiming) : maybe, time is coming to implement this feature in tvpa,
or will it be part of a planed motion "Graph Editor" developpement ???
wait & see ...

if the offset value in the KeyFramer/Render tab would be keyframable, (+ interpolation option),
it would be an easy way to use it as a Retimer tool !
ZigOtto wrote:... an other way imho would consist to have a new KeyFramable variable,
"Time Position" linked to the "Offset" value in the Render Tab, (... see pict.)
note: the [C] button (Create Key) should be ghosted when the Source is set on
FX Stack, Current Layer, Spare, or Paper.

Re: Animate offset parameter in the keyframer
ha nice one zig!
i was just thinking how hard could it be to just stick one of those little [c] buttons behind offset?
