Cintiq pen stops working when returning to TVPaint

Can't reproduce the bug on my Mac too.

I'm also using Mavericks.

David, can you give a detailed description of your Mac model (Ram, hard drive, processor, etc...) ?

Does this happen on only one Wacom pen or does it also happen on several ?

Also, I see that your version of MacOSX is the 10.9.3 one, which was a quite buggued one (it had some issues with displays). Can you update to the latest (10.9.4) and see if the issue still happens ?

Actually, I am on 10.9.4. Sorry for that mistake. Not sure how that happened. I have two set ups and it happens on both. Two Cintiq's with two pens on two Macs. The Macs are the very latest generation of iMacs. The top models with the fusion drives. Hope that helps.

I should mention also that since posting this issue, it seems to have stopped happening. Bizarre. I will update if it happens again.

Okay, after updating this post, I went back to TVPaint and it happened just like before!! Crazy. So I flip the pen around to use the eraser and then back and it seems to kickstart it into working. I guess that's a workaround.

When I use Cintiqs, I know I have a little bug only when I open a file via TVPaint File > Open.
Once the project is loaded the Cintiq do not accept any click from my stylus, I must click with my mouse to be able to use the stylus again.

But I don't have this problem if I switch from TVPaint to another software or if I drag and drop a project in TVPaint.

I'm still having this problem. Interestingly, I find that by using the eraser end of the pen kicks it into life, so I just flip the pen around for a moment and it's fixed. Still, be nice not to have to do that.

I won't be there, but thanks. If this is not an issue you are finding there, then I guess there's not much you can do to fix it. I think some others have reported it as well, but at least the work around is not too bad.

I'm having this problem and it's six years later! It's an Intuos Pro, Wacom driver 6.3.40-2, IOS 10.13.6. When coming back in to the app from another app, it won't recognise my pen unless I click with my apple trackpad first. And I've just got rid of my trackpad due to RSI so I need a solution!
