Possible bug - point cursor

When I work in windows I always use the point cursor.

Now that I installed TVP in linux (ubuntu 12.04 )I would like to do the same. But the cursor shows as a big black circle,and doesn't change in size in any way.


This seems like a bug to me,is this known?

As it's my first time reporting a bug,how often is TVP updated with bugfixes ,etc? is there a timeline?

Maybe you need to re-set the cursor style in the Preferences > Interface ?
