Exposition with clic and drag

Post by NathanOtano »

Hey!

So i'm a french student discovering this great animation tool :) and i made a lot of talking in the french section of the forum and i was thinking about putting it here in english to discuss with other customers around the globe (so sorry for my poor english :3 it's easy to understand, less to find the words).

I was thinking about the possibility to clic and drag to change the exposition of a frame, rather than using the little squares that are too small for me.

In my opinion it would be easier to ctrl+clic+drag on an instance area to have the effect of the right square, and maj+clic+drag to have the effect of the left square. More instinctive, easier to use and handle. Even if the function is hidden, we already have the squares pour new customers.

I would just use this:

You can set it to a keyboard shortcut.

I think it is more precise then clicking and dragging and also faster.

Already done it with + and - :) and more (for the exposition i set my numeric keypad to have the exact same exposition that the number i press, and go to next instance). I'll post my custom panel soon...

And yes, thinking about it it's kind of faster. But hum, when you have your all timeline and want to manage exposition, instead of going at this frame + use your shortcut, if you just use clic and drag where you want without having to move on the timeline (and with the two different fonctions of the squares), maybe it's faster? I think it's why i sometimes prefer to use the squares instead of + and -.
