Frame count color
Frame count color
Hello, I have a small request!
I am working on a project at my school right now, and I made a customized set of groups for the layers in our TV Paint file.
One thing I discovered is that when you have a layer group that is a very light color it is hard to read how many frames each instance is.
So my request is that the groups automaticly change the color of the numbers if the color of the layer is light or that you are able to customize this yourself.

Re: Frame count color
Here's what you can do about that (I don't know about doing this in your school, but you can ask your IT):
Go to preferences>Interface>Color Scheme>in the menu, find "Background Current" and change that to yellow, or any other bright color you like. This yellow will appear only in a few other places, such as the FX Stack, but those are all nice places to have a light colored background anyway.

Re: Frame count color
Thanks Paul, but that was not exactly what I meant. It is this number that is hard to see:
In the black layer it works fine but in the pink layer it almost disappears. I could of course just choose another color for the group, but it would be nice to be able to choose these lighter colors as well

You can also change the grouping color palette -- although I'm not sure if this can be done with all versions. Right click on the color palette icon of any of the headers and see if it says "Edit" at the bottom. If not, you can still change the color that area the same way I described how to change it to yellow. The item is called "Background Default". Change it to a lighter grey.

Yes, this is what I did so it fits with the rest of our pipeline, and my request is that I would like to be able to change the color of the numbers I uderlined in my previous post, so that I am not limited in the palette of my goupingPaul Fierlinger wrote:You can also change the grouping color palette

Re: Frame count color
Those are just some of the available workarounds I've pointed out. If these don't satisfy you, I suggest you revert to the default Loraine sky where all is visible and salient against the practical choices of warm greys, a sensible and practical solution.

Re: Frame count color
Don't get me wrong - this is not a complaint - and I think it is more than great that we have so much freedom and customizability when working with TV Paint. This would just be a tiny thing more that would be nice to be able to customize
All your suggestions are great, I'm just suggesting a new thing that can be put on the very bottom of the TO DO list, as it is not important at all.
