Hi fellow animators!
Here is an old problem that I found mentioned once before but, it was moved somewhere and I never found the solution. And, I do have the latest version of TVPP 10.5.
I studied pages 6-17 and 6-18 in the manual for TVPP 10 and here is the Forum's only discussion of it here:
http://forum.tvpaint.com/search.php?key ... %5B0%5D=10" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I do see that using the "repeat" (or make a loop) function at the end of my last 50th frame on the TL works.
So far, I've been duplicating my own frames to make a cycle but, I want to learn how to use the faux-fix.
Please let me know how to get the faux-fix to work?
Thank you very much!

Could you make a screen print of the area where you have Faux-Fixe applied?

Re: Faux-Fix grayed out?
OK, I'll make it easier on you; you probably have FF set on an existing instance. The whole idea is that you must follow the last instance with a hold, stretched out to the length you wish the instances on the right to rotate. Then place your cursor directly to the right of your last instance; it will no longer be ghosted as long as it is set on a hold. Then enter the number of frames you want to rotate and that's it, the frames will rotate until the cursor reaches the end of the hold, which can be the end of the layer, or you may wish to create a break somewhere along the hold and FF will stop there.

Re: Faux-Fix grayed out?
Wow, Paul! It did stop being grayed out and I set the faux-fix for the total number of frames in this practice project.
I was stretching out the rear tab, giving me blank frames, instead of the rear tail, which would give me the copies of that last frame.
Then, putting the layer in hold and out of repeat made it work too. I plan on practicing some more with this faux-fix cycle method.
This practice project is to make the stars twinkle by panning and have waves on a beach moving with the faux-fix to cycle them.
I've made my first twinkling stars and now, my first French Faux-Fix, thanks to you, Paul! Making your answers really simple helped!
The manual is really tricky to understand but, with the help of you, Slowtiger and others in the forum, I know that I won't be lost for long!
