Ctrl+ Shift (left or right) with book-marked instances issue

Post by gdesouza »

I use Ctrl + Shift + (directional left - right keys) to go between my book-marked instances. That function then usually quits working using the Ctrl + Shift on the right side of the keyboard but I can use the Ctrl + Shift on the left side of the keyboard, which is annoying as I prefer the right side of the keyboard and its proximity to the directional keys as I use my left hand for the key board while my right holds the stylus.

Am I tripping another function or is this a bug any one else has experienced. Your enlightenment please :)

Whoops, sorry.
TVP 10 pro

I believe I am using default setting; I never changed anything in prefs.

Might sound banal, but did you try to change keyboards? also - does this problem occurs in other software?

That's weird. For TVPaint, there is no difference between left side and right side for CTRL + Shift

What if you change the assignment for they keys ? I mean, if you configure (for example) only the key N or CTRL + 1 (for next) ?

I can't duplicate the issue you are describing on my end , but I'm using an Apple keyboard (if that makes any difference?) so hopefully the other Windows users here will be able to help you troubleshoot this issue.

In the meantime you might want to try setting up the left hand Wacom tablet touchstrip to the key commands Ctrl+Shift+directional left-right , so that scrolling up the touch strip moves to next bookmark and scrolling down moves to previous bookmark. Then two of the other Wacom tablet express key buttons set to next frame and previous frame to move from frame-to-frame sequentially instead of from bookmarked frame to bookmarked frame.

I have my small Wacom Intuos 3 tablet set up like that for when I'm working on my laptop away from my main work space . When I'm at my main work space I prefer to use two Griffin Powermates to control functions like flipping between bookmarks, flipping between frames, rotate the drawing space . Some people use a Contour ShuttlePro or even just an old game controller from an X-box or Playstation.

Anyway, I'm mentioning those options for programming the Wacom tablet express keys and touch strip as a possible solution until you can figure out why your right hand keyboard Ctrl+Shift is not working.

My apologies.
I got back into my work.
Thanks for all your exhaustive help.
it's something obvious buggy with the computer not tvp. Obvious b/c for a time the question mark key was an accent aigu!
Been meaning to go into my control panel and search around but it hasn't held me up that critically.
I've been working-around. Thank you all for your valuable time.
Thanks mr. Nethery :)
