Negative images
Negative images
Hi guys,
For me, negative images in TVPaint are totally useless and even disturbing when, in a demonstration, someone creates negative images, because it's really bloody boring to get back a normal timeline.
Would you mind if we disabled this option ?

Re: Negative images
You can create them when you use the little white band on the left of your instance (to create new instances or exposure cells) and stretch it in negative :
So, looks like nobody will miss them

Re: Negative images
In my workflow I never have Images below 0 on my timeline, So I will not miss this feature.

Re: Negative images
Yes, I have accidentally hit this and it's a bit annoying. No complaints here if you remove it!

Re: Negative images
This is SO COOL, and I'm not kidding! I use that side a lot when I need to add holds before animation starts. I used it just this morning when I decided to create a dissolve in Vegas between the previous clip and this one, except this one started off with animation which would have been lost in the dissolve, so I had to stretch my timeline to the left by almost 2 seconds. There's a way to do this, of course, but not as simply. Please let's keep it. How does it mess up your timeline?

Re: Negative images
Paul, we don't want to withdraw the white band at the end or beginning of your layer, we want to disable the possibility to create negative images.
In training, most students use it instead of the sprocket and when they stretch it, PAF, many negative images, and that's really a pain to move the images and get back a normal timeline, without negative images.

Re: Negative images
A simple undo fixes that. But if you say I'll still be able to stretch to the left and SEE where I am going (which doing this the way I've been doing until now I couldn't) then I have no objections. I've been up over 24 hrs now so I'm kind of slow in the upstairs.

Re: Negative images
you can remove them as long as i'll be able to keep shifting animation layers with video reference left of zero.
