Looks like a new version of the 10.1 Galaxy Note is due with much higher resolution, better camera and more Wacom powered S-pen options. I will be keeping an eye out for this!

I'm getting the Note 3 this year, and if not for the Wacom Cintiq Companion, I would trade up from my current Note 10.1 to the newer one.
So many fantastic devices available now days.

Hehehe I am actually the opposite. Because of the new Note, I lost interest in the Wacom Cintiq Companion.

Me too. The companion is so pricey, that I'd rather leave it on the table than carry it with me everywhere.
I was thinking about the companion a lot, but decided to wait for the samsung unboxing thing. And this new note seem very interesting.
By the way Art, what pen do you use with your tablet? S-pen, or those wacom feel pens?

I use the S-Pen. I always felt Wacom Intuos and Cintiq pens were too fat. For ages I have been searching for the experience which gets me closest to drawing on paper, including the size, as I have never been one to draw huge. I had an old Motion Computing Tablet PC back in the 2005 era, and that was close. When I first got this 10.1 Note, it quickly rose to the top of my list as the best drawing experience I ever had on a computer.kariP wrote:Me too. Re: New Samsung 10.1 Galaxy Note 2014
Went to the store to check out the Galaxy Note. Couldn't work with it. I am envious of those of you who can draw on such a small surface.
I'll have to wait and see if the 13" Cintiq Companion is large enough for me to draw on.
I live in Los Angeles, and the cliche is that screenwriters all sit around at Starbucks typing their horrible screenplays on their laptops.
I want to be the first screenwriter who has made the switch to sitting in a pretentious coffee house drawing horrible animated cartoons on my tablet!

Ha, I can see why, it's such a nice tablet.artfx wrote:Hehehe I am actually the opposite. Because of the new Note, I lost interest in the Wacom Cintiq Companion.
I'm looking to replace my 12wx with a companion, since its higher rez is the same as my MacBook Pro while offering more screen real-estate to draw on, but I absolutely love the size of my Note 10.1; I cary mine with me every where. If not for money, I'd upgrade to the new Note, but I right now I need to focus on my workstation first.
