tv_ReqFile command STILL BROKEN

Post by Svengali »

Three years have past since I first reported a bug in the tv_ReqFile command. The pending release of the 10.5 version of TVPaint is coming and the tv_ReqFile command is STILL BROKEN when used with the Windows SYSTEM file requester.

I am attaching TVPX file containing a button and script that demonstrate the problem. Try the following to test if it is broken:
Broken File Request Command.png
Broken File Request Command.png (2.99 KiB) Viewed 1530 times
1. download the TVPX file called "Broken File Request Command.tvpx" and install the button

2. under Edit/Preferences/Interface set the File Requester option to TVP Animation 10 Pro and save.
3. click the red "File Req Test" button and notice the results (requester title, path, filename and pattern)
4. click cancel and notice the tv_ReqFile's FileRequestString AND the cancel command

5. under Edit/Preferences/Interface set the File Requester option to System and save.
6. click the red "File Req Test" button and notice the results (requester title, path, filename and pattern)
7. click cancel and notice the tv_ReqFile's FileRequestString AND the cancel command

This demonstrates explicitly how the File Requester, when used with the TVP Animation 10 Pro option works!
It also demonstrates explicitly how the File Requester, when used with the SYSTEM option remains BROKEN

Would it be possible to please have this fixed in time for the formal release of TVPaint 10.5?

Thanks
Sven

Great,

I take this opportunity to inform you that the following commands do not work on Windows 64bit 10.0.16 but works fine in Open Suse 12.3 64bit 10.0.11:

tv_layer color "getcolor"
tv_layercolor "setcolor"
At Work : TvPaint pro 10 64 bit, Os Linux (Open Suse 12.3) 64 bit
At Home : TvPaint pro 10 64 bit, Os Seven 64 bit

please update your products to the lastest versions, to make sure it's still like you describe.
