Forum : ideas and improvements
I am finding it strange to have an English Community forum separate, since most discussions are in English anyway. Is it really necessary to have this community forum? I see that information often is doubling, that lot's of technical questions are asked instead of Technical Forum - in the community one, and that causes people to miss information...
Or is it just me thinking this way?

Re: Do we need the English Community forum?
+1 I think there are too many forums as is, which makes search a little harder than it should be.

Re: Do we need the English Community forum?
I already merged together the Technical and the About TVPaint topic last week, because of that :p
I hesitated to merge the English community and the Technical support too.
By default, the English community was made to answer questions, such as "how do I create a brush", while the Technical support is more dedicated to signal bugs, mistakes in the localization, strange behaviors, etc...
So, as you prefer guys. Just be sure, 'cause I couldn't cancel the change

Re: Do we need the English Community forum?
Your examples are still of a technical nature so I'd say, merge.

Ok ! I'll just wait for other's answers, just to be sure
Re: Do we need the English Community forum?
I understand the initial intention, but the result is that now all the technical posts are scattered between the two, and in the English forum they are mixed with other posts, so they are harder to find (as well as posts on other specific themes, that already exist in the global forum menu). Many questions asked in the English community are also interesting for others, but for most people it is not obvious to click a language specific forum to find actually global information.Elodie wrote:I already merged together the Technical and the About TVPaint topic last week, because of that :p

Re: Do we need the English Community forum?
I agree with you. Several time in the past, I thought to merge the both sub-forums. But I was afraid that English-speaking native feel abandoned without their own section
Com'on guys, just another person to confirm me the merge and I'll do it

Re: Do we need the English Community forum?
Ok, ok. Let's merge them.
Re: Do we need the English Community forum?
Yeah, merge it. My TVPaint Forum procedure was every time to check both forums after another finding similar questions and answers in it. Only the different titles of them made a difference for me .
TVPaint 10.5.7 - Win10/64
TVPaint 11.0.8 - Win10/64
TVPaint 11.0.8 - Win10/64 (Wacom Companion 2)
TVPaint 11.0.8 - Win10/64
TVPaint 11.0.8 - Win10/64 (Wacom Companion 2)

Re: Do we need the English Community forum?
As we are talking about merging stuff, maybe we could merge the sub forums "digital paintings" and "animations" and put the merged forum in the off topic ?

Re: Do we need the English Community forum?
Why not, since single images appear rarely and those of us interested in whatever others are up to will always check out both.
EDIT: OH wait! Into OT? Then perhaps name it Off Topics and Member Works.
