The "redo" function in tvpaint could be better in my opinion.
When I use 'undo' then move one frame to the right and the I want to use 'redo', it doesn't work anymore. The 'redo' function shouldn't be affected by moving trough your timeline.

Re: Redo
I'm using multi rede. But it doesn't work well (tvpaint 10, mac).Perhaps you should try "Multi Redo" in the Keyboard Shortcuts panel > Undo. That's what I use and I don't have the problem you're describing.
Try this: draw something > undo > move one frame right> redo : nothing happens....

But that's because you've started another action by moving to the next frame. Same happens when you draw something > undo then draw something else > redo; nothing happens. Unless I am misunderstanding you.Joost wrote: I'm using multi rede. But it doesn't work well (tvpaint 10, mac).

But if you want to apply what you've just drawn on the previous frame you should press enter (re-apply), this only works for the last stroke you've drawn though...

Yes, I understand that, but in my opinion moving to the next frame (or: moving trough your timeline) shouldn't be another action (when it comes to the 'redo' function). So that's why this is a feature request...

Re: Redo
oppps : no : not a bug.
You just confused "redo" ([Shift + U] shortcut) and "reapply" ([enter] shortcut).

There is a similar Feature request here, where I have quoted this conversion

By the way Fabrice. Reading from this post it seems like you have misunderstood Joost's request

Will read and check the whole undo/redo discussions when back in the office.By the way Fabrice. Reading from this post it seems like you have misunderstood Joost's request
But it touch to "what is an action in TVPaint" , so it's deep in the code and any minor change can create random bugs.
So will see what is possible.
