In maximized mode on Windows, don't cover the taskbar

Post by neonnoodle »

I love the ability to maximize TVP to both my displays. However when I do so, I can no longer get to the Windows taskbar unless I hit the Windows key and pop up the Start Menu. I normally have my taskbar on auto-hide to get the most screen space, but with TVP maximized I can't make it pop up by moving the mouse down there.

The full maximized is on the right hand side, at the top corner.

Normally, it should hide everything which is not TVPaint :)

Yes, I have the screen maximized - but it means I can't get to my taskbar to switch programs in Windows. Other programs in Windows can be maximized, but still let you mouse-over your taskbar to bring it up.

So what is the interest of a full screen mode ?

If you want such a behavior, just change the parameters of your task bar and configure it to have a task bar that pops when you put your cursor down.

Maximized window is good because it makes the interface expand to the complete area of each monitor. Other maximized applications in Windows still let you mouse over the taskbar and have it pop up. Every application I have except TVP can be maximized, but still lets you mouse over the taskbar to make it pop up.
