and the reverse too!chipmandoo wrote:Will mirage scene files work in TVPaint?
you can load .tvp files in Mirage to finish your project
when you need to apply some video_FX missing in TVPA.

Hi Chipmandoo and welcome on our forum !chipmandoo wrote:Will mirage scene files work in TVPaint?
TVP Animation can import any files generated by any of our former software. That means that you can import project made with TVPaint 3.6, TVPaint 4, Aura (1, 2, 2.5) as well as Mirage.
Like all these apps have been developped by the TVPaint Dvt team, it would have been non-sense not to plan these compatibilities.
Like Zig said, you can of course import TVP Animation project in these apps, but you will not be able to enjoy the news functionalities (no stack with project for example).
feel free to ask if you have any other questions
just had a look at 'pencil shooter' for mirage as somone on a lightwave forum pointed to it...in regards to rotating the canvas...
had a look at the demo video of pencil shooter and they've had a brave attempt at trying to mimic some of the tools in tv paint..some come off better than others though...the rotate canvas is quite inventive in just achieving a rotate of the workspace but it's far from ''interactive''...if your stuck on mirage you'll find it quite usefull but if your a prospective user of mirage or tvpaint then tv paint's tools are much more robust and not a cleverish hack to get around the lack of a live interactive rotating workspace like tvpaint or or corel painter...also their blue pencils and red pencils are created on new layers to get them to work...ish at best but you have to give it to the chap for getting any of these to half work at all!
take a look and you'll see what i mean
http://www.bauhaussoftware.com/download ... hooter.php
i think this paves the way for quite a few mirage users moving over to tvpaint now that they can see what's on offer for the future if they stay with mirage...which is in essence a stalled development of the core app with some hacked scripts in a desparate attempt to look as though they are developing the app...which they're not..and can't in any depth..my hunch is that their only way forward is to write a 2d animation app from the ground up...start and make their own app rather than cheat their users into thinking that mirage is their app...which it is not.
me?...i'm very happy with tv paint!

rotating wouarf wouarf...
a pleasure to see some "bi-users" with open eyes!
though, obviousness could be refused to admit only by people
accepting to be maintained in darkness (by el SuperDarkMiguel)!
but I think it's only a matter of times ...

I guess it is not sustainable to keep kids in the candyshop, by promising wonderous sensational sweets and then only hand out dry crackers.
It's in the nature of a kid to start asking questions, then to get impatient and finally to get mad and eat the shopkeeper.
He wasn't even a real candyman, he just deceided to make a few bucks, the poor guy...
...a moment of silence...and a lick of my sensational sweet...
