Lighttable Temporary shift boundary box

Post by ryberg »

The new temporary shift tool of the lighttable in version 10 is great but it could be even better if its transformation bounding box would be closer to the content and disregard transparent pixel instead of full document size.

+1. YES!
So panning/Scaling/rotete interface is like the transform tool.

Sorry, it must be my hair color or maybe because I spoiled my brain by playing video game all day long yesterday, but I don't understand what you mean

Edit : Got it
You are talking about the Out-of-Pegs and the possibility to have the bounding box closer to the drawing, instead of having that bounding box of the drawing space's size.

Ok, that makes sense and it would be easier to use, in particular when you animate little elements.

we need an interface that's always inside the current project view.
it already works like that with the rotate view UI.

or alternatively it could use the system of the current transform tool where it looks for pixels in the layer.
But i think in daily practice, view would be better. Because this automatically focus's on the part you are working on and thus it makes the most sense to put the controls there.
