Various stuff made with TVPaint
Re: Films made with TVPaint
Here is the film I made for my final project in Paul's course at UPenn. (I was extremely new to the art of animation)

My apologies, I can't figure out how to embed the video directly in the post.

I like the silhouette style of this, especially because it's much more fluid than if it had been done with vector animation. Wonder what AE was used for, though, that couldn't have been done with TVPaint?

Re: Films made with TVPaint
I was being perhaps too sarcastic in the way I was saying that this particular look didn't need TVPaint to be made in and that TVP's uniqueness as an advanced application for hand drawn 2D animation was wasted on the making of such a mechanically constructed style of animation. I suppose it's interesting to place here as a sample of another way TVP can be used: to imitate Flash.

Maybe people didn't understand what was behind your message when reading it.
btw, even if a whole production made with TVPaint can also be done with Flash, I'm usually happy because the animators had to draw, and hadn't to become technicians manipulating curves.
Of course, a production which can only be done with TVPaint are more interesting.

I agree with all your points; miscommunication by sloppy wording and anything goes which includes personal views of presented works.
