Sorry, I wasn't checking your replies for a while. Congratulations Fabrice! Glad to see that my thread concluded on a happy note.

Thanks for your offer to check try my files, but it really happens with any files, if I start TVP with a new file and try to load any sound, like this one, for example:

I am pretty sure it's QT's fault.

I got the same issue some times ago (tvpa v9.5), and my workaround was to use the earlier version (tvpa v8.6.4) which was working fine with the .wav sound.
(fortunately, I had still both versions installed), I haven't had to use sounds since this time.

I think I posted about this somewhere else, but loading sounds is broken on Linux also (doesn't crash, an undefined symbol in FFmpeg.so prevents plugin from loading).
