Crash help!

Post by bullseye »

I was working on a project which probably had too many layers (over 20) and it crashed. Then it wouldn't open! Then it DID open! So I quickly copied the file to divide it into two projects (foreground and background) which I can assemble later. Well, the background project is fine, but the foreground project (which contains a lot of animation I don't want to lose!) crashes every time I try to open it! Is it hopelessly corrupted? Or might there be a way to open it? Help!

Here is my suggestion :
1°) Duplicate your file.
2°) Export it as a 32 bits png sequence.
3°) Import it in a new, non corrupted project.

nb : When I draw I use to have more than 20 layers, so it should not comes from that.
How big is your file ? How much memory do you have ?

How can I export it if I can't open it? If I copy the file, I can't open the copy. Also, if I open a new file and try to import the troubled file, it crashes.

once the upload is finished, the dl.free website should give you a link to the download page.

Iggi, no need to post 3 times the same problem in other topics, only one was sufficient ;)

To all.

If you want to sent big files, use https://www.wetransfer.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . You can sent file as big as 2 Gig for free. Also sequences of separate images are accepted. Most others do not.
