Post by Mads Juul »

Now I can Publish the Storyboard in PDF. which is great.
Would it be possible to export the same layout in a format I could edit. like .doc or .odc. so I gould edit the clip bnames and freame duration and action. dialoge, notes ? in microsoft offive or open office or libre office or by uploading to google docs and edit?

Hmmm ... I'm afraid this would be a lot of work.
Not impossible though, but probably not the first thing to focus on in our development schedule.

HTML is editable format, isn't it?

Or you can get Foxit PDF editor, you can edit PDF files on the fly (for Windows only).

I didn't think of this. I have tried open a html in libre office and it seems like I can edit. The layout is different though from what I see in the browser and what I see in Libre office.

Another problem is the layout/information I publish from html is very different from the information I publish in the PDF.
For instance I cannot Publish Bookmarks in the HTML. Which is crucial for my storyboards.
Maybe my feature request should be change to the HTML Publish should be identical to the PDF publish?

I think the two output should be identical HTML and PDF and that is more important than a new publish format

Mads
Something natively editable out of TVP would be great especially the ability not to have cover sheets or copyrights etc.
What I have Just found out (5 mins ago) is that Xara Designer Pro - My work horse vector app will actually import the PDF's exported from TVP in an editable format. So I can tweak away to my hearts content. Quite a few clients PDF's don't work very well but TVP does.
Xara make a cheaper, non-pro version for $89 that seems to have the same functionality. It might be worth downloading the demo?

Xara or Foxit are good choices for editing PDF files.
