downloading updates...from website or program?

I've been trying to download the 10.0.4 update from inside the program itself, the "Help" check for updates, and having no luck even connecting to the download. Of course, from here, I am not being asked for my lock and unlock codes, so I am wondering if it is better to download from the website and enter the codes? thanks,

That's the same. From the website you have to enter the codes by yourself, via the program, they are already in the field, this is the only difference. =)
