Understandable. However, Fools rush in - so I'll let you know about the new driver - the documentation introduces some interesting new functionality (new to me anyway.)
Well, I've done it and I am astonished: all my settings are up and running and unchanged -- that just might be a first. The pen feels very fluid and responsive to pressure; perhaps better than ever (psychosomatic? Could be, but I don't think so). Now I'm curious to see if the software still makes it's infamous vanishing acts -- only a little bit more time will tell...

Well, when I press "backup" the utility just closes. It doesn't do anything; doesn't open a location window and it doesn't save. It just stops working.

UGH. Wacom software; that's always the trouble with this company. Their software is so unreliable and unpredictable. If you like this version (as much as I do) you might want to coax the software a bit by trying reboot and if that doesn't fix it, try uninstalling and reinstalling. After those two, I wouldn't know what else to try.
Oh here's something: I found out once that you can save your settings anywhere you want to. Create your own folder and save there; it works the same way. And here's something very strange: when you go into their utility to recover the setting, the one you saved elsewhere-- you'll find it in their utility. Try this first.

Just tried it all. Only thing that works, if I want to backup and restore my setting, is to go back to version 6.1.7-3. The new driver just doesn't do backups for me.

But you really don't need the backup utility at all. Did you try saving the backup setting into any folder and picking it up through the utility from where you can navigate to it?

I did, through the "Wacom Preference File Utility" but the buttons "backup" and "restore" don't work. They close the whole program so there isn't even a navigation window that opens.

Weird, because it works here perfectly. I guess that's just Wacom for you. Actually 6.1.7-3 never worked right for me and I had to go way back to 6.1.6-5 which worked with just one minor hitch: my pen on some occasions would stumble and trip on its own line -- but this was rare and only with big files. This latest update doesn't seem to be doing that anymore and another thing I like about the current one is how responsive it is to sensitivity curves, whether I adjust them in Wacom's software or TVP's curve editor.

Is there a TVPaint 9.5 users, using Mac Lion and Cintiq tablets ?
I've been told about a crash on Mac Lion + Cintiq + TVPaint Animation 9.5 Professional, each time the person try to configure the buttons on the wacom's side.
I don't think the problem comes from TVPaint, but "in case of", I would like to know if somebody here noticed crashes or bugs with that configuration above ?
after moving to a new computer running on windows 10 and new version of TVPaint we realized that there is no wacom driver for my old Cintiq 21"UX for windows 10.
Searching the wacom website we were not able to find any drivers for the old 21"UX.
Has anybody of you a 21"UX running on windows 10 or windows 8? On my old computer it worked well on windows 7.
