Why can't i load video footage (mp4) in my project [Solved]

Hello,

Since next week i have a new system : Windows 7, Intel Core I7 -2600k cpu 3,4ghz, 64 bit and 16gb Ram.

Before i run tv paint on a older laptop, Windows Vista 32 bit.

With the laptop i could load video (mp4 with H.264 codec) in my projects without any problems. Now on my new machine i can't load in the same file, Tvpaint ignore this type of video file!

Does anyone now what the reason is and what i have to do to fix this problem?

TVPaint ignores such files, because TVPaint firstly depends on Quicktime to read the MP4 format, and Apple does not support Quicktime on 64 bit Windows OS.

Try to find some MP4 codecs for windows on the web, it could fix your problem.

okay, so i have a litle problem i think. For video edit i use a Casablanca S-6000, and for the animation and title effect i use tvpaint. Now i have to find a new way to export the video files from the casablanco to TVpaint. I have try to make a avi file, but in tvpaint this type of file gives in tvpaint a verry poor picture.
Did you have any sugestion for the best results?

nope, you only need to download an install a MP4 codec for your windows 7 to read the files. (google is your friend : try "MP4 + codec + windows")
No need to export in a different format.

My suggestion: look into CineForm. It works for me and now that CineForm has made some adjustments, it works also in TVP10 64bits.

So i have download a codec for windows, now i can play mp4 and h.264 files with the media player, but in TVpaint i can't them import.

The problem is solved, I did install Quicktime and now i can import and export my mp4 files, thanks for al the responce.
