Paul's color scheme
Here's my personalized color scheme, if anyone wants to give it a try. I have Border clicked on, Highlight set to zero, Mirror clicked off, Magnet on, No border not checked.
I created what I consider a few improvements such as giving the current timeline a clearl yellow background. I also toned down the black to a dark gray in many places.

(I have split the previous topic and put your color scheme in the content sharing. Who knows, it could be useful for other users later )

Re: Paul's color scheme
Paul's GUI-Design is much calming and feels comfortable, I think it should be implemented in the software as an option of interface style.

Re: Paul's color scheme
Well I'm glad to be of use, especially if you like it, Sven I thought it takes someone like you to get it done in two minutes. BTW, this is a joint effort between what Sandra first started and I then tweaked.

Re: Paul's color scheme
The mechanics of setting UI colors is archaic at best - not designed for speed. Even figuring out which element goes with which color is a challenge. But the real ar&t is in the way the colors combine - it all works together so well in your design and best of all, nicely resolves the missing icon background problem.Paul Fierlinger wrote:Well I'm glad to be of use, especially if you like it, Sven I thought it takes someone like you to get it done in two minutes. Re: Paul's color scheme
An idea for a future improvement (nothing urgent): completely different implementation. Have one dark GUI (with white text) and one light GUI (with dark text). Have a slider for each to change brightness to personal taste, implemented in a way that relative contrasts are maintained. Maybe have another slider for tinting the GUI (should be a neutral gray by default).
I wonder if that works. Should do a mockup in Flash for this if I have too much free time ...

combustion has (or is it had now) exactly this way, where you can use sliders to set the colorscheme.slowtiger wrote:An idea for a future improvement (nothing urgent): completely different implementation. Re: Paul's color scheme
Shouldn't this thread be merged into the "share you interface look" thread?

Re: Paul's color scheme
Only if more people would share their color schemes... actually, inside of that thread someone asks if what's there shouldn't go somewhere else.

Re: Paul's color scheme
That question you mention was asked in that thread BEFORE it was moved to the Contents Sharing forum.Paul Fierlinger wrote:Only if more people would share their color schemes... actually, inside of that thread someone asks if what's there shouldn't go somewhere else.
One thread to gather all TVP themes - makes sense, no? Why scatter them around?
We can just ask Elodie to make that thread a sticky, so it is always accessible at the top of the Contents Sharing forum.
