I never this issue... but perhaps I never panned my canvas in that manner :-)

The only thing I noticed on Linux is startup is slow, I will load the new version tonight and see if it's better

Yeeees ! :D
… at last… I was'nt using "Unarchiver" nor "Archive utility"… then, your message comes just at the right time.
(TVP could'nt recognize my dongle… but, it has been fixed by rebooting)

Here's another:

This only happens when I open TVPaint by clicking on a file. Not when I open it through the start menu.

Sewie... (or any windows users) did you install the Windows version of TVP Pro9.5.20? If so, what else besides the icon background color issue did you find to be a problem?

My own experience installing and uninstalling TVP Pro 9.5.20 for Windows was not a happy one. I found exactly the same icon background color issue as you have shown plus some other unsettling results (for example, certain previously used file types not now recognized). I'm back using Windows version TVP Pro 9.5.18 and all is well. Will probably just wait for release 10 or whatever the next version is called.

I installed 9.5.20 yesterday at home on Win7/64. I can confirm the Icon Background Color Issue but didn't find any other bugs yet.

Like Svengali I also would like to know about the improvements from 9.5.18 to 9.5.20 before I asked our school system admin to install the update on several workstations.

Thanks from Animark.

Besides the icon issue I haven't found anything distressing so far. But I will keep my eyes open.
There is a change list over here.

Hi everyone,

We assume there is some bugs in the new 9.5.20 update. That's why we will make a new 9.5.21 update soon, to clear all the following problems:

-A bug in the spline 3pts refresh
-A bug in refresh of the preserve transparency button
-A bug in custom panel buttons
-A bug in the downloaded archive in MacOSX
-A bug in the linux audio playback
-A bug in Linux startup panel
-A bug in Linux AVI export
-A bug in the license registration in MaxOSX 10.7

Hello

Here is a list of capricious "refreshing troubles" I might encounter .
("capricious" because they're not reliable*…only appearing from time to time)

- When I "stamp in place" a brush at the end of a layer… the new image is sometimes not refreshing.
(it's a new one)

- When using the blue/orange sketch panel… sometimes, the line is very big… you are obliged to activate another option (let's say "rectangle or filled ellipse")… and to come back in the sketch panel to get the regular stroke back… (encountered for a long time)
example :
sketch-panel.jpg
sketch-panel.jpg (28.29 KiB) Viewed 21972 times
- When stamping a picture at the beginning of a new layer… the visualization is sometimes not effective. (new one)
… I have been smart enough to catch it… here you are :
display.jpg
display.jpg (65.51 KiB) Viewed 21973 times
Is there a refresh option inside TVP to solve these little refreshing problems… or anything to fix elsewhere ? (preview settings or somethings ?)

* reliable bugs are required :D !

Are you sure you have anim layers, not image layers ?
Because image layers don't display their content in the timeline.

THX a lot !
You must be right … actually, I'm rarely using imagelayers, it must have been a slip of the stylus ;o((
(but ?… why don't they display their content in the timeline ?)

… I do maintain the 2 others :D
