scale without Pixel-changes

Post by painterX »

Hello,
How can i scale my line drawing, but the line thickness should not change. i draw with a pencil 2 px. now i see, the drawing is too small and i want to scale the drawing. but when i scale it with the position tool or the keyframer effect, the 2pixel changes to 4pixel.
is there a another possibility?

You can't change dimensions without affecting line width in a bitmap application. However, you could try and use the "erode" effect after scaling to change line width, but the result may not match your expectations.

yes, i've tried it. its really not the same. thank you.
is it normal, that, if i close the programm, all the keys, that i've done with the fx stack, does not exist on the layer anymore, if i open the programm?i can see the effect in the animation, but i cant control him, because the keys are away. its confusing.
now i have put an camera effect on a layer. later i wanted to delete the camera effect. but when i open the programm, the camera is in the fx stack again and all other effects, that i had, are away. is this a fault of mine?

Save any custom Keyframer FX coordinates in the Keyframer Bin . ( Add to bin and give it a custom name) .

that's weird, all your effects should be there in the stack, when you re-open your project (normally, the FX-stack is saved within your project file).
... unless you have inadvertently checked the "Single FX" item (instead of the default "Multiple FX", can you verify which one is activated in your FX-Stack panel ?

not sure it would help here, but I wanted to mention it because it happends to me sometimes :
when the keys are "away", (I mean "existing, but not visible in the layer window", somewhere outside),
to make them re-appear in the window, you can use the command "Auto Fit/ Fit to Keys" :

thanks al lot. its multiple Fx. but i think,i have to reinstall the program.
a little question about the effects: i put an effect on a layer and make keyframes.then i go to another layer, open the fxstack again, and the keys are on that layer now. it is possible, that i put an effect on a layer an the effect only stay at this layer? its just confusing sometimes.
And is it right, that i have to select all frames after put the keys, and click on apply fx stack for an update? i forget it sometimes an all the movements are incorrect

In fact, the idea behind the default behaviour is to make it easier to apply the same effect to several layers identically. Makes sense if you work like me, having line art, colouring, and shadows of one character all at separate layers - and now I want to move it around.

If you want to apply the same effect to another layer, but with different keys, you need to change them. If you only need to change the effect's timing, just grab the little "+" signs and drag them around.

The keyframes are stored per effect, means that each different FX has its own set of keys.
