DPI calculation table
Found this DPI calculation table for ISO sized papers.
Very useful for whoever is doing print.
@Elodie, can you make this a Sticky please?

Re: DPI calculation table
Or how about placing it under Windows>Plugin, where Me(a)sure is?

Re: DPI calculation table
Right, and it wouldn't cause clutter since there are very few items in there to begin with.

Re: DPI calculation table
What the use, exactly ??… (75 dpi ??… why not 72 dpi ?)
… you can get all the equivalences you need (pixels, centimeters, etc…) using others "paper orientated" 2D softwares ( by a simple "click")
… plus, what's given here are "paper formats"… TVP is a "paperless animation" software, ai'nt it ?
(and not an accurate painting tool for "paper illustration"… because of the lake of CMJN / CMYB mode… then
… let's forget the paper !)
… nice info, but having it sleeping in a folder will suits me right…
… except if the team want to add a "convert function" that allows to get a pixel map size for a given cm/inch format with a given pixel resolution… like others do…
… might be usefull, because it's now a standard (even if partly "false") way of "seing" a format/size…
… but I doubt they will, remember :"DPI only matters when you're printing things out" (witch is true)

Re: DPI calculation table
Many people use TVP for illustration.
Therefore print resolutions are very relevant.
Personally I like working on a A2 projects.
Also, most decent digital print houses do RGB > CMYK conversion online.
After all, TVP has the best brush engine out there on commercially available software.

Re: DPI calculation table
Yes !… you're damn right… plus, one of my friends who's one of the last genuine photoengraver still working (on Art books)… recentltly told me that he was now ajusting the "colorimétrie" on the RGB version, rather than on a CMYK like it was the case before…( in the past)
I must say it was a pain in the pen… when you saw your nice fleshtones getting blueish when converted from a Painter RVb to a Toshop CMJK
(nowadays, painter works in CMJK, too)
… And, actually, I was gently pulling Paul's leg with the "paperless etc…" … I do use TVP for part of my work…
well ! I'm never posting examples (because I'm too shy)… but here are a few sketching I did last month, partly toshop, partly TVP… one of them has be printed.
(no!… pleaaaaase !, not on the head !)

Merci… sympa !
J'attendais pour poster, d'avoir des animes… mais au train ou je vais… par contre les dessins, ça, y en a !
… j'en posterais bien quelques uns… mais,au fait, c'est où l'espace "work in progress" ?
.................// edited //..................
Nice of you…
Sorry for the french… (I thought I was still on the other thread … or mixed both foras… )
… I just said that I waited to have animations to show before to post anything… but I'm too slow learner, then i'll probably post sketchings while waiting for them… why not ?
see you !

... except for the Charlemagne's shoes which look like rather the ones of LouisXVIII.
keep it on the good work, and yes, please, open a personal gallery .
