Problems with my Wacom
Hi
I have a very counter-efficient problem with my Wacom. When i am drawing in TvPaint, a third of the time the pen won't stop drawing after i lift my pen from the tablet. To be all clear, i put the pen down, draw a line, lift the pen and then there is a small delay after I lift the pen where it still keeps on drawing, meaning that it still registrate my movement after the pen is lifted. I had the same kind of problem on another computer, another version of Windows and in Flash Cs4, so I don't think it's something to do with TvPaint. It mostly occur when I'm stressing the computer, so my theory is that its a lack in the Wacom software? But I hope that there is somebody with a brilliant sollution
Spec:
Wacom Intous 4, driver: 6.1.6-7, windows 7
thanks

Re: Problems with my Wacom
I moved the topic, as it doesn't concern only TVPaint, the problem comes from WAcom or something else =)
Sorry, I can't help you. Did you contact Wacom ?

You say it mostly occurs when you're stressing the computer, so maybe your processor is not strong enough or you don't have enough memory? Try improving the computer's performance by closing unnecessary Windows processes on your machine while you're working. You can do a Google search and find quite a few sites suggesting how to do this. See if that helps and if not, maybe consider an upgrade of your hardware?

Re: Problems with my Wacom
I have put a tech guy from my work on doing some magic with the wacom-lag-problem, but there is another problem that occur together with this lagging. Sometimes when there is this line drawn even though I don't have the pen in contact with the tablet, TvPaint starts to create frames on my timeline. It usually creates 3-6 frames, overwriting frames that is in the way, so I have to undo the new frames. Any body knows where this problem can come from?
Thanks
Andreas

Re: Problems with my Wacom
sounds like a different problem than what you answered for on the other thread Paul.
Andreas, can you post a screen capture to show exactly the problem?

Re: Problems with my Wacom
I wouldn't be so sure. It would be interesting to uncheck the AutoBreak option. But in any case, it sure sounds like an awfully dysfunctional setup.

Re: Problems with my Wacom
Do you know someone with a Wacom who can loan it to you for five minutes ?
This would rapidly point out if the problem comes from the tablet or from software.

Hi Andreas
Have you tried to replace the plastic tip of your wacom pen.
or try another pen.
I have experienced this with old pen tips
