I imported a set of custom tools (Sanford col-erase pencils) and wanted to assign shortcuts to them.
I can only do it via a work around by grabbing the tool and assigning the shortcut to the "clone" of the pencil.
It would be nice to have a direct access in the shortcuts list to all tools.

but you do have to make sure the tools are named for them to appear in the list

Yep, you just have to give a name to your brush, then go into the shortcuts settings and assign a key to "my panel : my brush".
