Is it possible to create your own Icons for tools in TVpaint?
Is it small gif files in a specific folder somewhere?

Re: Custom Icons for tools
Draw your icon anywhere in your project window and then cut it out as a perfect square brush (hold down Shift while dragging out your cut box and you will always get a perfect square). Then RMB on EDIT within your Custom Panel and when it opens, LMB click on TOOL: you have your icon.

Re: Custom Icons for tools
well, that was pretty easy.
Thanks.
Furthermore, I made a screendump of a ToolBar with a blank icon on as a template on a layer below so I can create pixel perfect icons. "cough" Nerd-Alert!
