Wacom uses only half of the screen in TVP

Post by JohanKlungel »

I'm using TV-Paint 8.6. But when I connect any wacom tablet it only uses half of the screen. the area of the whole wacom tablet only corresponds with the left side of the screen. The arrow wont go any further than halfway. But the tablet works normally in Windows or any other program. Only when I start TVP it suddenly changes.

I tried reinstalling TVP and different wacom tablets and settings. Very strange, or not? Can you help me, please.

Hi Johan,

That's really strange indeed. Did you also re-install your wacom's drivers ?
You can also disable the subipxel mode in "Edit => Preferences"

Johan,
Did you map your pen in Wacom's software and if not make sure you map with TVPaint highlighted. If you need to know more details about mapping, just ask.

Hi Paul,

thanks for your answer. I reinstalled the driver, and tried different wacoms. The mapping seems to be fine, I tried some different stuff. But I didnt see anything that I could highlight. Where do I do this?

thanks,

Johan

Well, maybe highlight wasn't the best word; in the line of icons in the bottom row where it says Application: All Other, do you see the TVP icon and is it selected so that it shows within a blue frame? And if so, how do you do the mapping? Do you have TVP opened while you create your settings. And then this: sometimes TVP needs to be closed after you make the settings and opened again; have you tried that?

Thank you Paul and Elodie,

I tried both things you suggested, but nothing seems to work. The second TV-paint starts the cursor shifts to the left side of the screen.

I'll try reinstalling the whole computer, when i get round to it. Thanks you anyway.

if it appears in other software, maybe the problem comes from the drivers ?
