Tool for changing a layer of "1's"to "2's"

Post by dperro »

Is there a way to automatically change a layer of single frame animation so that it is "on two's"? That would be a tool that would add a copy of a frame to every frame on a selected layer. That would really save me some time since I like animating straight ahead.

well, if your animlayer is all in one's, you can easily do that in one click (or hotkey) by making a custom button with these 2 commands :
- Layer : Select All Frames
- Layer : Exposure / Add Single.
(or by using the already existing buttons, requiring here 2 clics in the Animator's Panel : Layer / Select All Frames + Exposure / Add One)

that said, my workflow is a bit different :
I've a custom button to create an AnimLayer of one instance in 2's, (see picture below)
then I add new Instances one by one, only when needed (ready to draw a new key or a new inbetween).
I must add my (Layer/Exposure) AutoBreak Instance option is Off.
